Our Cockatiels and Lovebirds are pulled from the nest box at approximately fourteen days old. They are then handfed and remain in the brooder until feathered out. After that they spend almost the entire day playing in birdie village or on someone's shoulder. It is at this time they are listed for reservation and usually only spend time in the cage at night to sleep. They are used to being bathed and grow up surrounded by the normal goings on of family life. They accompany me on errands, are introduced to new things everyday and each and every one spends quality alone time with me. They are well socialized!
