This sweet girl became ours about 3 weeks ago, she got out of her back yard and was attacked by 3 other dogs in the neighborhood. We immediately took her to the emergency vet, she had to have surgery and a lot of stitches and staples. Unfortunately when we located her owners, they decided they did not want to reimburse us for the vet bills and gave her to us.
We were more then happy to keep her until we found out that my boyfriend is allergic to her. We think she is about 3-5 years old, all of her stitches and staples have been removed, other then needing to lose a few lbs, she is healthy. She is semi potty trained as she has always been an outside dog, she does very well in a crate. She does not bark very often, she LOVES kids. We do not have any of our own but every time we walk past the baseball fields near our house, all she wants to do is go play with the kids, she would be an excellent family dog.
After being attacked, she has some issues being around other dogs. She would be best off in a household as the only dog, although she might be okay around a cat.
We are not asking for any adoption fee, just that Lucky (as we call her) goes to a loving, happy, healthy home to some new parents who want to love and take care of her. From what we have heard about Lucky's life before us, she has not always been taken care of. She knows she is now, and she is very appreciative, always ready to give you a kiss on the cheek and a wag of the tail. This dog truly represents "Man's best friend". She looks a little funny in some of these pictures because she has been partially shaved for her surgery, she looks much better now that all of her wounds have healed.
