Love children and love to sing? Gymboree Music is looking for a mature, energetic and cheerful person to lead parent/toddler music classes on Thursdays (9:45am-12:30pm) and Fridays (10:15am - 1:45pm). Hours could be expanded (added to Thurs/Fri shifts) if enrollment builds.
Requirements:
- musical background helpful, but not required
- must be able to carry a tune
- previous experience with children (your own or in a childcare/teaching position)
- previous experience leading groups of adults
- comfortable with the "sales" aspect of enrolling families in classes
- able to commit to a set schedule
- good attendance record in previous jobs
- must be able to begin training immediately
THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND IF YOU WANT FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT, AND IF HIRED, WOULD CONTINUE SEARCHING FOR A FULL-TIME JOB.
Training: $8/hour. Then new teachers would begin at $9 or $10/hour, depending on level of experience.
