Comments: for 1965 the Wildcat received all new styling, as its sheetmetal was now shared with the LeSabre. The Wildcat still continued with a unique grille and badging. Engine: 401 V8 325 bhp @ 4400 rpm, 445 lb-ft @ 2800 rpm.
Purchased from Tulsa, OK in March 2006. The original owner put in a new timing chain & gears and never got the car running again. It sat in their carport for 12 years. The car has 118,950 miles. It was last driven in 1994. It has all four Wildcat hubcaps. There is paint overspray on the front bumper and grille. It comes off easily with Brake-Clean on a rag. There is a small crack in the chrome on the rear bumper, it is very minor. There are two small rust spots on the hood, the inside of the hood looks great. The engine has been open to the air (rocker arm cover is off and two spark plugs were out. It is free, and cranks. There is a small crack in the dash, You can use the dash as is. The door panels & seats will clean up nicely. I have removed the rag top & carpet.
I am planning on getting the motor running (it may just need the marks lined up) replacing the white rag top and have the car repainted the original red - with black interior it is quite stunning - see the Hubcapcafe.com photo.
I don't need to sell, so please, no tire kickers wasting my time. If you want it come large or don't come at all. This is a true American Muscle Car with the Wildcat 445. NADA Average Retail is $30,245, (Low 12,708, High $51,635)
I have a freshly rebuilt Buick 430 and THM400 to go with it if you come large enough. Comments: The Wildcat received an all new 430 cid engine for 1967. This engine featured 10.5:1 compression, hydraulic lifters, a giant four barrel carb, and was rated at a strong 360 bhp. Much of the added power came from a domed chamber design that greatly increased the efficiency of the engine.
Engines: 430 V8 360 bhp @ 4600 rpm, 475 lb-ft @ 3200 rpm.
